SCRAPNOGRAPHY
THE COLLAGE WORKSHOP
SCRAPNOGRAPHY is an analogue collage series that explores the feelings of intimacy and closeness. The collages sit within the covers of a notebook, creating a very personal experience for the viewer, as if you’re looking through a diary.
In THE COLLAGE WORKSHOP, the participants will each create an analogue collage on a blank notebook page, by using paper scraps and cut-outs from queer printed media. The WORKSHOP asks the participant to tell a story about a moment of intimacy or closeness. The focus of the collage is how these feelings relate to our physical body, but also to our invisible one.
At the end of the workshop, all the collages come together in one notebook to create a visual diary that explores what does intimacy and love, look like for everybody.
Everybody will get to keep their collage, but a digital copy will be included in a future zine, that will showcase how this diary that has been filled in by all the participants.
