‘Becoming Patches’ is a mixed-media zine that explores the meaning of being bad!

“BECOMING PATCHES” explore the TURBULENT waters through which a queer person had to swim to survive in the late 90’s and early 00’ in Eastern europe.

THE ZINE CONTAINS:

  • The zine dives into the socio-cultural environment in Romania, between 1992-2019, from a queer point of view.

    The zine contains a mix of essays, short-form texts and poetry that offer insight into a self-discovery journey on a very bumpy road.

  • Inside the zine, you will discover a collection of collages, both analogue and digital.

    Moreover, the entire poetry chapter is made our of collaged words.

  • Follow me (Patches), as I tell my story through several editorials where I get a chance to tell my own truth, using both analogue and digital photography.

  • The naughty version of “BECOMING PATCHES” will also contain a riso print for all the “hot dogs & mustard” enthusiasts out there.
